Here I will post run updates from my recent BD nuzlocke! I already started it, so the first couple of posts will lack a few details, as I have forgotten. I'm also not set on the formatting of the posts, yet.

For this battle, I actually didn't think about team caps for non gym leaders yet, so I had my full team at the time. It turned out to be advantageous, because I was a bit unprepared and ended up using 3 Pokemon to defeat him.

I was very worried about this fight, but it turned out to be completely fine since Monky evolved into Monferno and learned Mach Punch.

I tried this fight while capped at level 16 before realizing how much of a mistake that was. I had lost a run before here (in Platinum), but for some reason I went for it. I only managed to scrape by because she didn't have enough set up moves. I had Klaus use Defense Curl 6 times to max his Defense and increase the power of Rollout, and hoped for the best. I think I took down Zubat before finishing using Defense Curl, so Purugly chipped away a bit before I locked myself into Rollout. Thankfully, it worked... but that's not going to work on Jupiter.

I've been using a website to keep track of the Pokemon I catch and what I use against the important trainer battles, but I sure wish they kept the Journal Key Item. I actually liked that feature.

I don't know yet how often I will make posts, but I may also just edit posts or maybe make multiple as I go.

Between the gym battle and Jupiter fight, I decided to raise (almost) every single Pokemon I had to level 20 to procrastinate the fight I was afraid of and figure out who to bring. The only one who didn't make it is Buneary (wilhelmina), who is level 16. I gave up on the level cap for Team Galactic due to it being lower than the gym and a very difficult fight due to the Admins' cheating evolutions.

This was another fight where I lost a previous run (also Platinum), so I was pretty nervous. I decided to use Herbert the Pachirisu at level 20 and Monky the Monferno at level 22. I started with Herbert on Zubat and almost defeated it with a single Spark, but it unfortunately lived and used Mean Look. I didn't know this wasn't permanent and only lasted as long as the Pokemon that used it was still in battle, so I assumed I would lose Herbert to Skuntank. Herbert easily defeated Zubat in another move and now was facing Skuntank. I had her use Charm to lower Skuntank's Attack by two levels, not realizing it actually has no Physical moves in BDSP. For some reason, her Pokemon were given good moves that make the fight much more difficult (this gives me hope that I can actually go back and win a Platinum locke soemtime). Skuntank poisoned Herbert with Poison Gas, which was healed with the Pecha Berry I had her hold. Eventually, Skuntank was paralyzed by Shock, but was healed with its Sitrus Berry, while Herbert was getting low. Since she used her Pecha Berry, she actually picked up Skuntank's discarded Sitrus Berry and used it! I didn't know Pickup worked in battle. I switched her out anyway after seeing if I could. I clearly need to brush up on my type matchups (I've always struggled with them), because I didn't know Fighting was only half effective against Poison, making it Neutral effectiveness against Skuntank due to it being 2x strong against Dark. Even so, I brought Monky to tank Flamethrower and hoped he could still do decent damage. He defeated Skuntank with two Power-Up Punches and one Mach Punch (which went doubly first due to proccing Quick Claw xD).

Route 206: :stunky: Mr. Stinky

I stupidly did the double battle with the campers on Route 207 instead of fighting them individually and almost lost :meditite: Onion. He amazingly hung on with only 1 HP after getting beaten up by a horse and squirrel. I skipped a bunch of trainers on the way to Hearthome so I could get the battle with Barry out of the way, and then I'll go back and fight them afterwards.

I was hoping to get Chingling, but unfotunately I got too "lucky" on my first encounter and ran into Cleffa. Oh well. There are still a few more opportunities. Though, since I haven't lost any Pokemon yet, I don't really need it. Also, Happiny is the only Pokémon possible to receive in Hearthome before receiving the National Dex.

Starly and Prinplup easily went down thanks to :pachirisu: Herbert (though not without Prinplup leaving Stealth Rock), but I nearly completely boned myself because I forgot all about Barry's Roselia. I somehow thought I thought of all 4 of his Pokémon when making my team, but I only thought of 3. If I hadn't brought :bibarel: Klaus, I definitely would have lost someone trying to take down that thing. I also swore he had a Kadabra?? I guess I'm thinking of Blue. Well, Klaus also did fine with Ponyta.
